The Easy Media Academy has been set up by Prof Sunil Saxena, who is an award-winning media professional with 46 years of experience across Print Journalism, Web Journalism, Social Media, Mobile Journalism, Media Education and Research. The goal of the Academy is to train students in different aspects of media using AI. Besides online courses, the Academy also conducts workshops, roundtables and conferences on media-related issues.
The Easy Media Academy has evolved from www.easymedia.in, a media blog that Prof Saxena started in 2013 and which is a full website now. The website publishes easy to understand write ups on different aspects of media. It is targeted at media students, media scholars and media Faculty and can be accessed from www.easymedia.in.
Their Story is an associate website started by Prof Saxena as an online platform to build empathy for the elderly, and reduce their helplessness and suffering. It offers families a forum to share the challenges and heartbreaks of managing their elderly parents. It is hoped that through this platform families would learn how others in similar situations are coping with their loved ones, experiences that could help everyone manage their parents better. Prof Sunil Saxena, who is the Founder-Dean of Easy Media Academy has set up four media schools – Asian College of Journalism, the International Media Institute of India, the G.D. Goenka University’s School of Communication and Bennett University’s Times School of Media. He has authored three media books, and has groomed an entire generation of media professionals, many of whom hold top media positions in India and abroad.
Before getting into academics, he spent 27 years working as a journalist. Some of the organisations where he worked are The Times of India, India Today, The New Indian Express, The Pioneer, the Northern India Partika, and the Business India Group. He was among the first print journalists who moved to the web and as Vice President (Content & Services), headed Express Network Private Limited, the Internet Company of The New Indian Express Group in Chennai, for almost a decade.

His current passion is Artificial Intelligence, and its integration with industry and traditional media. Among other things he is keenly interested in content management, website development, social media consultancy, development of mobile content and media training.
